This doesn't make sense to me, the current SM500 has been tested to ISO standard down to 1000m so why not change the seconds hand and the wording on the dial as an evolution? The exhibition case with screwdown caseback does seem more of a gimmick personally.

its 'really' not to be seen and is still in development so nothing set in stone and no price as yet.... I like it..

I was convinced this was a photoshop fake. I don't dislike it, but feel it a little unnecessary. I do like the hands!

If this comes to fruition, it'll be a neat piece, IMO. I'd be really torn between this and the olde model, though.

likes:

-elimination of the date window surround
-lumed red seconds
-red script on the dial

dislikes:
-45mm is likely too big for me
-red 12 cardinal pip on the bezel ( looks too much like Muhle Glashutte if you ask me )
-probable elimination of the anti-mag bits with the case back

On balance, I like it. I'd like it better if they just tweaked the existing watch by adding a lume'd seconds hand and deleting the metal trim on the date window.

I have a Descent which I'm not likely to part with anytime soon. That said, I dig the SM 2000.

I really like the subtle differences between this and the 500.
though 45mm would look ridiculous on my skinny little wrists.
really like the Red on the dial, you can't beat a Sub with red writting

I'm now convinced it's far too big!

It would look like this on me

Looks like the real deal to me. Good to see them expanding the Supermarine range. This particular watch wouldn't interest me, but it's still cool.
