Oh well, it was worth a try - I've never been a big fan of dial essays.

I understand the Auto' Chrono' must stay, but the wierd bit is hardly true. Halfway to the minute track at 3.50 looks a bit arbitrary to me.

The odd positions of 3Hs on other chronos is due to the presence of sub-dials (including the franken you poste earlier Al....). We don't have any sub-dials to avoid here.

The 3H on a Heuer Bund is at 6 o'clock.........

I thought this was conceived as an SE based on a very nice interpretation of a vintage aircraft dial. Reducing legibility with the use of black hands over a black dial seems all wrong to me.

I am beginning to think that yellow would be nice.

Yes but with the inner track it creates the same problem..... and its not supposed to 'be' like any other watch... the ATG logo goes towards it being a LTD watch from me and I like introducing a little bit of red.....

I thought this was conceived as an SE based on a very nice interpretation of a vintage aircraft dial. Reducing legibility with the use of black hands over a black dial seems all wrong to me. I don't think it does reduce legibility... and whole painted hands and different designs is as much to do with a pilots eyesight sweeping across a number of dials at once from what? a meter away...at maybe a tough angle... this is a wrist watch.

I have owned lots of watches with black hands and bright lume...... and silver hands go black when reflecting your jacket or its surrounds........ I think black hands go toward that idea of stripping back the unnecessary but this is still a high end wrist watch so I want to keep that ideal combined with a few design points from the clocks...... the biggest reference to the aircraft clocks is the 60 sec track in green and the 'every other' colours of the hour markers......

I am beginning to think that yellow would be nice. Well there is yellow in the dial already and although I would maybe like solid light colour hands I just checked and it would look like a Fortis B-42 or a Chrono Avenger..... don't you own both of those..?

Al - I like black date, black crown, white hands. I like the script "automatic chronometer" at 6 o'clock. Just not sure on the ATG logo. I think it either has to be subtle, like where you have it, or bold. Maybe see if Bremont will reduce the "Bremont" font and put ATG logo right under it. Then all line up nicely along the center line and the 3 and 9 o'clock positions stay clean. Tough decisions as lots of the ideas would look good! Very cool look whatever you decide.
