I picked up a used ALT-1C and I can't seem to get one part of it to lock down:
![]() Untitled by jaetography, on Flickr It keeps propping back out instead of locking down. Am I not applying enough force or is there another problem here? |

I compared the photo to my ALT1Z and that looks correct. Mine snaps down into place but takes a bit of pressure to do so. On each side of the small piece that pokes through the hole in the band, there is a bit of raised steel that provides the pressure to hold it locked. I suppose if the clasp has been put on and taken off a band many times, those could get worn down. Seems that would take a long time though. You might return it to Bremont if you know it is not working properly. They probably would like to see it as a means to improve their product.

I was somewhat flustered with my deployment as well. To make it work for me, instead of forcing the issue, I ended up compressing the spring bar ends and then sliding it along the recessed groove. Good Luck and congratulations on your purchase

Excellent. Glad you managed to get it sorted.
Nice shot of the Cream ALT1-C too! M
