Default Entry-level IWC clone?

I've just seen this from Momentum Watches, the Innerspace

RRP: £585.00 Rubber Strap
£650.00 Stainless Steel Strap

Case Material: High Grade, solid 316L stainless steel.

Movement Type: Swiss-made Automatic mechanical self winding, 25 Jewel movement (ETA 2836 with display back)

Crystal Lens: Curved Sapphire Crystal, Extremely hard,Scratch proof, but not unbreakable.

Luminous: Blackout Super luminous bezel, indexes and hands for up to 8 hours legibility in poor light or darkness.

Water Resistance: Designed for underwater use and is for all water sports activities and diving to a maximum depth of 300m.

Could be worse? Reminds me of the Schaumburg AQM III (although that was a 500m watch)

Case diameter with crown: 49.00mm
Case diameter: 44.00mm
Lug to Lug: 54.00mm
Height: 14.00mm
Lugs: 22.00mm

I know *exactly* how you feel

To be honest, it's not a bad design. The 12 marker is a little bit too "IWC" for me, and the internal bezel is also a bit too close to the original. But the day / date is more original and the case seems okay.

Perhaps, rather than moaning about watch design all the time, I should actually go out and design one myself!

I know what you mean.

I've really taken to this basic layout. I've got the IWC version, and the Bremont version. I am eyeballing the new Longines version. They are all cool. This one too, albeit a bit too "IWCish" IMO. As you say, the 12 is a direct ripoff.

I would love it if Bill Yao did a MkII version of this style of diver.

Question:

Does anybody do an inner rotating bezel with a GMT setup?

Can't think of one. The Halios Laguna is very similar (think Fortis Marinemaster or the classic JLC)

Wouldn't be surprised if there were a GMT available...

Personally, I'm happy with the Martin-Baker. Tested to 100m, which is more than enough for me. Would be interesting to see *that* one with a second time zone. I mentioned it them the other month, but I doubt it'll come off...!

I'd love it muchly if they made an optional GMT 12hr ring for the inner bezel. The recent Sturmanskie threads have got me itching, since some of those have a GMT inner ring.
