I know it is swimming against the WIS-tide, but I'm with Jon, these charmingly crude Pana-type straps are beginning to leave me cold (and yes, I do have one, so speak from experience).
It's the large stitching, the parallel sides, the constant thickness & large keepers. I am not sure they fit on something as elegantly designed as a Bremont, with its exquisitely formed lugs and thoughtful detail. There's no doubt they fit on some watches, old Panerais for example, with their "so simple it hurts" design. But something finely formed (Bremont or not) deserves a bit of taper (in width and thickness), a nice keeper and some fine stitching. I like the colouring Dave, I really do, and I like the vintage leather as well, but would prefer to see these watches on something a little more designed. I shall reture and put my tin hat on........ Dave

Sure, the Bremonts looks fantastic on a strap of refined leather.
But sometimes you just want to play a little rough.
