I am glad to see that went to one of the 'family'! It was a hotly contested bidding, but I think you got a nice deal with that. Enjoy!

Hi Thorsten - I saw your post on UhrForum - very nice indeed, although the GZ isn't my favourite it is certainly distinctive and again, useful in a niche way that the Sinns are famous for and a great little variation on the standard.

It looks like a mix of Luminova and Tritium lume, it's aged very well and looks

Enjoy!

Here it is in bigger format -

Nice witch! I used to have one of these. Well, not exactly the same. Mine was a steel version of the watch. One of the 44 steel watches built by Sinn. All others are Ti.

I sold mine last winter to a Belgian collector (I needed the money for my Rolex Sub fund).

Wear yours in good health!

Hmmm, I like the later 142 with the shrouded (otherwise called pump) pushers on the Ti case. Very cool.

However, the Tide bezel never really did it for me, as it is only functional for the next tide and needs resetting for every tide.

Gimme a 0-60 any time.

A nice catch though, in any event, and welcome to the Lemania forum too.

Dave

Thank you guys for your warm welcome to your forum. It is avery nice watch and you are right that the tide bezel is a nice (and colorfull) feature but a little bit senseless if you live near the rhine as me and not the sea. That is the reason for ordering the minute bezel from sinn (think about that because of the fact that the old parts for the 142 can be ordered but nobody knows how long). here a link from german ebay (i am not the seller and sadly have no relationsship to the person) that shows another nice example of a Sinn:http://www.ebay.de/itm/SINN-140-142-...#ht_2390wt_988

Called Sinn the other day. Andy_S is right and you can see it on the pictures hands with (S)L, Dial Tritium and GZ Bezel also Tritium. Last check up 2008 in Frankfurt. Actually no chance to buy a SL Dial without sending in the original dial, only replacement dials (as rolex).
