Greetings!
After a long and agonizing wait I joined the ranks of Bremont owners on my birthday last week. After being introduced to the marque by my local Tourneau (Fashion Valley, San Diego) Bremont really resonated with me, both as a British expat and a "horological engineering" enthusiast. My journey into mechanical watches began in the mid-90s and I was a regular on the old Timezone Omega Forum back in the days of the late Chuck Maddox. An old partner in crime from those days was fellow forum member and MBII owner John Price. To me, the Speedy Pro is an icon and I have cherished my 30th Anniversary since July 1999. I'm sure the MBII won't be my only Bremont and I felt that it was the most suitable model for my first. In many ways it is the modern-day Speedy, over-engineered with timeless styling and genuine aviation credibility. I have family visiting and on spending a wonderful day on board the Midway I took the opportunity to try out (not literally!) a Martin-Baker ejection seat and get a shot of the MBII while I tugged the iconic rip-cord (shame about the autofocus)… don't think it qualifies for a red barrel but it was a great feeling nonetheless. So here's to the forum, the fine folks on here and to Bremont! |

Congrats Birthday Boy on that new MBII !
Paul, we go a ways back with this hobby/passion. Funny how we've both gravitated toward Omega and Bremont. That is a great photo - not too many Bremont MB owners (apart from the red barreled ones) get to sit in an MB seat and put their hand on the pull. Enjoy your new watch. Next up a Supermarine for us both ? Cheers Mate, John |

… and London on the Bridge!
Just got back from a great road trip showing family around the south west USA. Thought you guys would like this picture. Taken at the original London Bridge at a scorching Lake Havasu City while en route from Palm Springs to the Grand Canyon. The MBII is perfect on the GGB in hot weather, really comfortable and looking great to boot. She's running a rock-steady +2.5 secs per day. Thanks for the great responses, guys. Couldn't be happier!

Paulbrl, you beat me to the punch! I am going to spend a week at the London Bridge Resort in Sept! I have 2 time shares on Lake Havasu and look forward to a relaxing week on the water! The light poles and lanterns on the bridge were made from melting down captured Napoleon army cannons! I will be testing my Supermarine in the warm water! Cheers Jim
