Today we landed in Spain. After a quick turn (18 hours on the ground...just enough to get to the hotel, sleep, wake up, shower, and go) we will hopefully be logging another of the ICAOs on the dial of my Globemaster tomorrow. If all goes well, I'll post a pic from the new (to the watch, not to me) location. In the meantime, here's Rota Naval Air Station:

I'll tell you tomorrow; we're not there yet. I'm at a new location on my watch to be disclosed when we get to England. :-)

So here's a new location for my watch. LTAG at +2 on the dial (although it's +3 with DST right now). The picture is slightly faked...it's hanging on a wall in my room. There wasn't much to photo out here except roses, so I have one of those, too. Rugs, however, come at great prices (and I have a few travelling home with me). Lastly, make sure to stop by Mujdats if you haven't been...and bring a rookie for a great experience:

Al, they're airmen. The don't satay and don't do bivvies, their training is about how to sing 'you've lost that loving feeling' and take us into battle. Oh and continually find a fault with the aircraft to get the extra subsistence pay (if you're crab air!).
