Default Another one for the mantelpiece...

Last night, at the Luxury Briefing Awards, Bremont picked up the Breakthrough Brand Award.

Congratulations to all the team at Bremont Watch Company. Well-deserved, I'm sure.

I can't find any more info, photos, quotes etc, but will post as soon as I do.

Here's Nick with the award... Not quite sure what she's wearing though. Disappointing that it's not the new Solo 37

Bremont Watch Company had the honour of winning ‘Breakthrough Brand’ at the 2012 Luxury Briefing Awards which took place on 14th March 2012 at the Corinthia Hotel, London. This was the 16th Annual Luxury Briefing Awards and being referred to as the ‘Oscars’ of the industry, the awards are recognised as the real insider’s view on the best and the brightest luxury has to offer. The awards have been extended to reflect the changing face of luxury and to celebrate the diversity of talent, ideas and excellence across the industry. Bremont, Mary Katrantzou, Spencer Hart, Stella McCartney and Burberry were among the winners for a luxury briefing award.

The English brothers are delighted to have been recognised by the panel of judges and chosen for this prestigious award. Co-founder of Bremont, Giles English says: "Both Nick and I are so pleased with this award and the recognition of the hard work that everyone at Bremont has put in. As a business we still have a long way to go as we grow internationally but really believe our product and passion will really take us to the next level. We are also very conscious of all the support that clients and press have given us over the years and cannot thank them enough."

Creating a new brand in a luxury market established on heritage and tradition is tough. The award recognises the most exciting breakthrough brand of the year and as such the considerable success that Bremont has achieved since its launch in 2007; it celebrates the brands well-manufactured product, pioneering marketing and point-of-sale support, strong commercial appeal and strong design principles.

The panel of judges each selected for their knowledge and passion for the luxury industry includes last year’s Outstanding Achievement winner Carmen Busquets who funded Natalie Massenet and Net a Porter; Simon Burstein, CEO of Browns; Chris Sanderson of The Future Laboratory; Jamie Jouning from Condé Nast Digital; and Mimma Viglezio, luxury guru and former Head of Communications for Gucci and Bulgari.
