I’m really liking this, I would go for a black date disc, maybe with red? not sure , but with the engraving on the back to keep the dial as is. Can’t decide on the crown either way, maybe dark grey as a middle choice. Are you definitely having those swords hands? Very very nice, its fantastic following this as it happens live in the mettle...

Default Rotor design?

First off, I'm not in a position to buy one of these so my thoughts may be irrelevant. That being said, I like the design with and without the logo on the front (probably prefer with, but barely) but the back intrigues me. Have you considered a whole new rotor shaped like your logo? It's already kind of a 1/2 circle design and could really customize the watch in a new way. Pivoting from the top of the T? You'd have to modify it a bit but it could be interesting...

Just a thought from a watch newbie.

well! A custom rotor is a seriously difficult thing to do.... the qualities need to the weight and balance mean a whole lot of attempts to get it right which in themselves would push the price up to a place that would make it too pricey.... so I had already discounted that..... the date wheel in whitre out of black keeps to the more simple 'cockpit' designs of white and black I think..... not having the ATG logo on the dial was because it will have to be really small and I think would just distract from the design and while it means no 'red' on the dial I think the splash of colour from the red lollipop seconds provides that....

I thank you all for your comments and interest as its an interesting project.... but I am trying to keep the costs down while preserving the DNA of the overall design.... a nice deep engraving with ATG 001 so logo and serial I think will be nice and subtle.... like the MB1.5..... which kinda holds to the ATG styling generally... less is more kind of thing.....

We've done a few tests on black crowns and are still trying as the PVD process affects the enamel cap both before applied and after so still struggling and I know people want black I still think the contrast of the silver crown looks cool!

The new sample strap is due at the end of the week as well as another small element of the whole package which I am yet to secure but am having help from one of the forum members and an early Bremont adopter.... safe to say this is going to be a very special LTD watch and having worn the 'three hander' for a few days and even though I am a chronograph guy it is a very satisfying an legible timepiece to wear......

I will keep you all updated....!

Definitely don't change the rotor - don't forget it's based on a Pratt & Whitney radial engine.

Jon'.

It's really coming together. I like the idea of white date text on a black wheel, or green text even. Blacked out seconds ( minus the red end of the lollipop of course ) would look good. If the pvd crown represents some sort of functional compromise I would skip it and stick with the regular bright steel crown finish.

I would definitely consider doing the tail of the second-hand in black. Better still, remove the tail altogether. Or does that mechanically unbalance the hands/spindle?

No-tail would look pretty cool I reckon, as they'd be no partial covering of the white hands as it sweeps over.

Default The S2 Special Up close and personal!

Evening chaps, I've been a bit out of the loop lately, particularly when it comes to the S2 Special..

I had the pleasure of seeing it in the flesh today, when I met up for coffee and watch chat with Alistair...

It really is a stunning watch, way more lovely than presented in even Al's amazing photos.

I know there's been alot of debate about the crown, I really like the contrast of the steel, but that's just my humble opinion!

I'd like to see a bit more red. As the ATG logo is now going on the back, what about a predominently red second hand?

The custom strap is really cool and comfortable, if a little bulky for my girl wrist (ok so I only had it on for 10 mins!).

Can't wait to see the finished product

Celia
