Default is it just me or are Breitling rubbish?

I really can not see a single redeeming feature in this watch... too big... hands too big... horribly shiny... just yeuch!

No, it's not just you - looking at the 60 makes me go cross-eyed - quite revolting!

Regards

Jon'.

Now it is getting difficult to tell the real ones from the fakes, but not because the fakes are improving....

Clearly the answers are:

No (it is not just you)
No (not everything they do is rubbish)
But yes (that is totally horrible)
However, it is nice to see that they are not applying the Bezel over-riders to everything, as they have in the past.

If I might refine the sentiments, everything Breitling has made since they bellyflopped in 1979 is crap. Too big, too busy, too much!

They made one or two nice pieces before then, however...

...that bezel actually makes me laugh the more I look at it! Agree with Daniel though- what happened to the classic lines of the 800 series?

Cheers,

Nick

Default breitling

I have for many years owned a variety of vintage Breitling and would defend these as some of the most beautiful chronographs out there- take the aopa cosmonaute,navitimer,co-pilot and Unitime 1765-I look in watch retail shops today and see very little that is desirable, beautiful and worth talking about-this is reflected also in cars-nothing today can match the beauty of the 50's and 60's sports cars-designed for looks not ergonomics.........give me individuality not mass production and beauty over efficiency any time.

I cant bring myself to buy a Breitling, mostly because they are too busy or too macho ... but I still find them mesmerising ... I reckon with a little 'less' some Breitlings could be quite stunning. And agreed, lots of the vintage jobbies are lovely
