Can I have the lugs on my CWC drilled?
My CWC Royal Navy diver has fixed bars and I want to replace the Toshi that it is currently on for a rubber strap. Only way to do this without destroying the Toshi is to cut through the bars. Question then is can the lugs be drilled to take regular spring bars, and if so, who could do this for me?
Any advice gratefully received. Terry

Personally I would cut the Toshi off, keep the CWC original, and have a look for an open-ended or one-piece strap that you like.
As a "proper" CWC diver, surely it is worth keeping in its original format, rather than taking a saw and drill to it....? There are quite a few open-ended options out there, once you start looking.. D Sorry, I realise this may be seen as not helpful.

Hi terry,
I would advise not to bother drilling the lugs even if you can find someone. Sacrifice the toshi strap or un pick it if it was sewn on ......

I agree with the other guys....
Too much to go wrong anyway , even if you could find someone that you trust to do the work. Not what you wanted to hear.... But sacrifice the strap. I had a nice strap on my ALT1-P but it had shoulderless pins, so I had to bite the bullet and cut it off....
